Parkwood Beach and Wareham have a wealth of nature preserves - with trails through the woods, around ponds, estuaries and tidal marshes.

The Audubon Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary offers four miles of nice trails. See:

This 205 acre preserve was donated to the Town of Wareham in the 1950s. The new trail head, upgraded trails, signs and parking area were added in 2023.
